We start with a friendly telephone call to explore your concerns, discuss your child’s needs and how my expertise can help. If we are a good fit, I will send a pre-assessment questionnaire in preparation for our first session.
Initial Assessment
Duration: 60–90 Minutes | Fee: £200 Pre-School and Early Years / £220 Key Stage 1 and 2. Includes a summary report.
Every new referral begins with a comprehensive assessment. This is a foundational step to build a holistic picture of your child’s strengths and communication profile.
What we explore: attention and listening, understanding (receptive language), use of language (expressive language), speech sounds, social communication, play and interaction, and fluency.
The Approach: A blend of case history discussion, informal play-based observations, and formal and informal assessment (where appropriate).
The Outcome: We will establish a baseline, determine if therapy is required, and provide a Summary Report with clear recommendations and next steps.
I am happy to visit your child’s nursery or school to observe them in their own familiar setting. Following these visits, I provide practical, classroom-friendly strategy sheets and brief liaison meetings with teachers or SENCOs to ensure therapy goals are seamlessly integrated into your child’s school day. This is an additional cost which is optional and will be discussed with you in advance.
Therapy & Follow-up
Bespoke therapy tailored to your child’s individual needs, usually conducted at the clinic. Therapy materials and any resources for home will be provided. See examples below.
Collaborative Care: Therapy is child-led and play-based. Parents attend so that we can work together on the agreed goals. Therapy can also be carried out within an education setting where appropriate. I am happy to liaise with NHS therapists to ensure a unified, collaborative care plan for your child.
Duration: 30 Minutes | Fee: £40
The Session: This is for children with mild speech sound difficulties who will benefit from frequent short sessions. Includes 20 minutes of direct 1:1 therapy and 10 minutes for parent feedback and clinical note-writing.
Duration: 45 Minutes | Fee: £60
The Session: Includes 30 minutes of direct 1:1 therapy and 15 minutes for parent feedback and clinical note-writing.
Duration: 60 Minutes | Fee: £80
The Session: Includes 45 minutes of direct 1:1 therapy and 15 minutes for parent feedback and clinical note-writing.
Meetings and school visits
Duration: As needed | Fee: £80 per hour
I am able to attend meetings online or in educational settings to meet with other professionals, or to observe your child in their school environment.
Schools and nurseries can also contact me to discuss half or full day rates for assessment, therapy and training of support staff.
Additional Services & Reports
Comprehensive Reports: If a more in-depth, formal report is required following an assessment, these are charged at £80 per hour. This will be discussed and agreed in advance.
Bespoke Therapy Programmes: Written plans and custom resources for home/school use are included in your therapy fee.
